Flex-Time Bible Study
Live Bible studies are wonderful. They give us an opportunity to gather in real time, open the Scriptures together, ask questions, and learn from one another.
But we also live in a world with 24 time zones. While one person is just waking up, another may be getting ready for bed. Work schedules, family responsibilities, health, and other commitments can make it difficult for everyone to meet at the same time.
That does not mean we cannot study together.
Our Flex-Time Bible Study is designed to make group Bible study possible no matter where you live or what your schedule looks like.
Hosted on The Round Table Discussion Forum, these studies allow MemberPartners to participate asynchronously. In other words, you can take part when it works for you.
Bible study guides will be available for download, with new lessons posted each week. Each lesson will include discussion questions to help guide the conversation. Participants can read the material, reflect on the Scriptures, respond to the questions, and interact with the comments and insights of other MemberPartners.
Think of it somewhat like a social media discussion, but with more structure and a clear focus on Scripture. You may post in the morning, someone else may respond that evening, and another person on the other side of the world may join the conversation hours later.
The studies will be moderated by Terri Main, MemberPartner Director, a Bible teacher with more than 50 years of experience teaching Scripture. Terri is a former college professor and the author of more than 30 Bible studies.
The goal is the same as with our live studies: not simply to be told what the Bible means, but to engage with Scripture together. We read, ask questions, share insights, consider different perspectives, and learn from one another.
Flex-Time Bible Study is group Bible study on your schedule.
Whether you participate early in the morning, late at night, during a lunch break, or whenever you have time, you can still be part of the conversation.
