Live Bible Studies for MemberPartners

The Bible is the foundation of our faith. Feelings may shift. Opinions may vary. Society may seem chaotic from one day to the next. But Scripture gives us a stable point of reference—something we can return to again and again as we seek to understand God, ourselves, and the world around us.

We can, and should, study the Bible on our own. Personal reading, reflection, and prayer are essential parts of spiritual growth. But something different happens when we study Scripture together. We hear questions we might not have thought to ask. We notice details someone else has seen. We benefit from the experiences, insights, and perspectives of others. In that sense, the power of Bible study multiplies when it becomes a shared experience.

Beginning in January, Catch MemberPartners will be able to take part in a weekly live Bible study on Zoom.

Although the Catch is an online ministry, today’s technology allows us to do more than simply post lessons or distribute study materials. We can meet in real time, open the Bible together, ask questions, discuss what we are reading, and learn from one another much as we would in a traditional midweek Bible study.

These studies will be facilitated by Terri Main, MemberPartner Director, a Bible teacher with more than 50 years of experience teaching Scripture. Terri is a former college professor and the author of more than 30 Bible studies.

The sessions will not be lectures in which one person does all the talking. They will be interactive discussions. We will read the Scriptures together, consider what the text says, ask questions, explore its meaning, and discuss how it speaks to our lives.

The goal is not simply to be told what the Bible means. It is to engage with Scripture—to read carefully, think deeply, ask honest questions, and learn together.

Think of it as a midweek Bible study without the drive across town. Bring your Bible, your questions, your ideas, and perhaps a cup of coffee, and join other MemberPartners for an hour of study and conversation.
