One of the familiar sights in a hometown cafe is someone reading. It might be a newspaper spread across the table, a magazine beside a half-finished cup of coffee, a paperback with its spine bent back, or something on a phone or tablet.

There is something comfortable about it—sipping coffee, turning pages, hearing dishes clatter in the background and the indistinct hum of conversations around you. A cafe can be a surprisingly good place to enjoy a little quiet time with something worth reading.

That is the idea behind The Reading Room.

Here you will find a collection of reading resources from across the Catch Ministry, gathered in one place for MemberPartners. Some are meant to inform. Some are meant to challenge. Some are simply meant to be enjoyed. All of them reflect the spirit of the Catch: thoughtful, honest, grace-centered, and grounded in faith.

The Daily Catch

For years, The Daily Catch has been at the heart of the Catch Ministry. John Fischer has written more than 3,000 posts exploring faith, grace, culture, relationships, Scripture, and what it means to follow Christ in everyday life.

You can read the latest Daily Catch or explore the archives and discover years of past articles.

The Corner Booth

The Corner Booth is our monthly MemberPartner newsletter.

It is where we share ministry news, upcoming events, MemberPartner profiles, short reflections, behind-the-scenes information, and other things we think our MemberPartners will want to know.

Think of it as pulling up a chair in the corner booth and catching up with friends.

A Seat at the Table

A Seat at the Table is our quarterly online magazine created especially for MemberPartners.

Each issue brings together articles, commentary, fiction, poetry, artwork, and other creative work from people within and around the Catch community.

It is a place for thoughtful Christian writing that goes beyond quick posts and brief updates—a place to explore ideas, tell stories, and engage faith with both imagination and depth.

Cafe Notes

Sometimes there are things we want to say that do not quite fit anywhere else.

Cafe Notes features exclusive articles and reflections from John Fischer, Marti Fischer, Terri Main, and others connected with the Catch Ministry.

Some may be devotional. Others may deal with ministry, culture, faith, personal experience, or simply something that has been on one of our minds.

Consider these the conversations that happen after someone says, “While I’ve got you here, I’ve been thinking about something.”

Bible Study Guides

Our Bible Study Guides are designed for private study at your own pace.

They provide Scripture readings, background information, questions for reflection, and material to help you dig more deeply into the biblical text.

You can use them on your own, work through them with a friend, or use them alongside our live and Flex-Time Bible studies.

Sometimes a story does not need to tell you what to think.

Sometimes it simply needs to give you something worth thinking about.
